GDL manufactured and supplied a diverse range of ventilation products for Great Marlborough Street student accommodation in Manchester. The new 33 storey student accommodation tower in the heart of Manchester city centre is now the city’s second highest building. The Architects developed a design for the building that incorporated a higher grade of accommodation combining 404 studio apartments and 116 study bedrooms.

GDL products specified for the project included Linear Bar Grilles, Single and Double Deflection Grilles, Multi-Cone Diffusers, Air Valves and Plenum boxes. All products were manufactured to specification at GDL's factory headquarters based in Glossop. The products we supplied were manufactured to specific bespoke sizes to ventilate the bedrooms, studio apartments and communal areas efficiently whilst maintaining the aesthetics envisaged by the architects.
